- The National Network for Educational Renewal (NNER) is a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) independent and not-for-profit membership network.
- All of NNER’s work is based on a four-part mission:

- (1) We are all responsible for the improving the realities of our schools, universities, and communities.
- (2) We believe that all students, regardless of race, poverty, geography, or any other circumstance, deserve equal access to high quality learning and enriching life experiences.
- (3) We believe deep, enduring teaching and learning occurs can truly only occur when students are both loved and challenged.
- By embracing our 1) shared responsibility to schools, 2) working toward equal access to high quality learning for all students, and 3) teaching from a place that loves and challenges students, we find what inspires us most– (4) educating and preparing students to fully engage as considerate and critical citizens who know their value and capacity to make a profound impact in this world.

- NNER operates through school-university partnerships, where currently enrolled P-12 students and future teachers receive quality educational experiences. NNER’s work involves creating and maintaining collaborative policies and practices between school districts and institutions of higher education that are necessary to advance this ongoing work.
- NNER is a membership network with settings across the county.
- This work is perpetual. Unlike reforms or projects that have a beginning and an end, the renewal work of the NNER assumes a need to constantly question assumptions and make changes as gaps in quality education emerge and continue exist.
